Carbon Masters were in Washington last week, viagra samples carrying out a carbon footprint of the Food Marketing
Institute (FMI) and the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) Sustainability Summit. Several steps were taken by FMA and GMI how much does a viagra pill cost to reduce the environmental impacts of the event, such as providing recycling bins throughout the hotel and in guest bedrooms, sourcing food locally and composting all food waste.
However, FMI/GMA were keen to understand more about the total carbon footprint of the event. Carbon footprinting of delegates was carried out by Carbon Masters associates in the US, Bob Raynsford (pictured left) and Mark Baum (pictured right) with assistance from Company Director Kevin Houston.
The team used Carbon Guru for Events (LINK), Carbon Masters innovative events footprinting solution that measures Greenhouse Gas emissions from each delegate´s transport and hotel accommodation and aggregates the results on a large monitor for the whole conference to
view. The total carbon footprint of the Sustainability Summit
was estimated at 240 tCO2e, which represents an average carbon footprint per delegate of 563 kg CO2e. This is quite high in our experience
and reflects the fact that the majority of delegates travelled to the conference by air.
